2 Months Old!

I cannot believe how fast time is going! Slow Down!!

Harper turned 2 Months old on November 29th, Tuesday.

We went to the doctor on Thursday and here are her stats:

Weight: 10 lbs 10 oz (42%)

Length: 22 1/2 in (52%)

OFC: 39 cm (53%)
happy girl at doctor's...no idea what's coming!
She also got lots of shots at her appointment! :( It was rough but she did pretty well...as did I! As usual, the doctor was running late so Brian had to leave the appt. before we got to the shots! They were a little tough to take on my own with her!  She was pretty lethargic the rest of the day, but it equaled to good snuggling time!

Diapers - size 1

Clothes - she's wearing her 0-3 month clothes but most are still a bit big...she can still fit in most of her newborn clothes except for her PJ's! They are a bit snug!

Sleeping - Harper has been pretty much sleeping through the night since 5 weeks!! She sleeps between 6 1/2-7 1/2 hours a night.  She usually wakes up around 5:30-7am to eat and we put her to bed between 8:30-10pm depending on her schedule for the day. Daddy puts her to bed every night.  Our nighttime routine is: bath, bottle, Daddy swaddles Harper, then sings her a few rounds of Jesus Loves Me, and we turn on Raffi and she usually goes to sleep within 20-30 minutes.

Schedule/Eating - Harper is currently eating 4 oz. every 3 hours until the night.  From whatever time she wakes up in the morning is when we start her 3 hour eating schedule. I rarely wake her up to eat though because she usually wakes up right at the 3rd hour mark ready to eat!  The formula has been doing amazing wonders with her belly issues and I DO NOT feel bad about it at all! You have to do what is right for your baby! We follow the eat/play/sleep schedule, but if we are going somewhere and she happens to fall asleep in the car right after her bottle I don't care. It doesn't seem to mess her up so why worry?! I also let her play for as long as she wants.  She usually just wears herself out and I can tell when she starts to get tired so I'll pick her up or put her in the vibrating chair and she'll fall asleep pretty quickly now.  Usually, she stays awake during her bottle (takes about 20 minutes b/c she's still a bad burper!) and then about an hour after that.

Playtime - Harper LOVES playtime now! She's always been pretty alert and awake, but she just really gets into looking around and batting at things now! She still loves her little playgym so very much! She kicks and grabs at things and can hold on to the toys hanging off.  She also loves watching her mobile now, although she's not sleeping in her crib just yet. She smiles so stinking much and is starting to laugh, although it sounds like short, quick breaths! Her smile is just about the best thing I've ever seen!  Harper also loves to get out of the house and do things! She's so good and just goes along for the ride! She's also rolling over to her side and coos back all the time!
We celebrated this month by taking Harper to meet Santa Claus and eating at Tony Roma's! She did wonderfully at both places!

  12. Shopping Newborn clothing is an unparallel experience of becoming a mother. It is a good idea to start early and look for essentials at various outlets. With proper preparation at the due course of time, you can be ready when your newborn comes into the world.
