I'm back with Kelly this week for her Show Us Your Life! I haven't linked up in a while!! :)
I LOVE breakfast foods! Like, love, love, love! My favorite is to eat breakfast for dinner!
Here's one of my favorite recipes and one new but easy recipe!
Bacon-Parmesan Tassies {New One}{from Southern Living June 2011}
I made these for our Memorial Day party at Hope's and Jackson and Caleb loved them! :)
Makes: 2 dozen, Hands-On Time: 30 min., Total Time: 2 hr.
What you Need:
1/2 C butter, softened
1/2 (8 oz.) pkg softened cream cheese
1 1/4 C all-purpose flour
1/2 C half-and-half
1 large egg
1/8 tsp. salt
4 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
1/2 C grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 C chopped chives
How to Make:
1. Beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add flour to butter mixture, beating at low speed until blended. Shape mixture into 24 balls, and place on a baking sheet; cover and chill 1 hour.
2. Place dough balls into cups of a lightly greased 24-cup miniature muffin pain; press dough, forming a shell.
3. Preheat over to 375. Whisk together half-and-half and next 2 ingredients. Sprinkle bacon into pastry shells; top each with 1 tsp. cheese. Drizzle half-and-half mixture over cheese. Sprinkle chives over half-and-half mixture.
4. Bake 375 for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan to a wire rack and cool for 5 minutes. Serve warm.
Breakfast Souffle {Old Favorite}
What you Need:
1 1/2 C grated cheese (just use the shredded kind in the bag! I use cheddar)
10 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. mustard
salt & pepper
1 1/2 lb. sausage
3 C milk
3-4 slices bread, broken into pieces (I use wheat to pretend like I'm being healthy!)
How to Make:
Cook sausage and crumble, drain. Beat eggs; add bread, milk, sausage, mustard, salt, pepper, and cheese.
Mix and pour into a 9x13 glass pan. Refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered on 350 for 45-60 minutes.
And...the best thing about breakfast foods??!??!?! I LOVE putting mustard over almost any of my breakfast foods and strawberry jelly!! Anyone else eat their eggs and such that way?!??! :)
Enjoy!

Sweet Southern Gentleman from the Big Blue Nation
Lexington, Kentucky; of course :)
OK, over on Kelly's blog her SUYL is all about our sweet single guy friends. I was so excited about this! My husband's best friend, Adam, is SUCH a great guy. And the best thing is...he's single!
Adam and I were friends well before I knew of or about Brian, which is why I think I've always liked Adam so much. We've got our own friendship with roots without my husband. You married ladies know what I'm talking about. Some guys will always be 'my husband's friends', but with Adam, he's both our friends.
Adam's got a great J-O-B, which I KNOW is high on the list. :) He's also a great Christian guy. As my dad once stated, it's really hard for single guys to attend church on their own...something I always had to remember during my dating years when I'd ask where a guy was a member of a church. But Adam takes it all in and attends our awesome home church on his own or invites his buddies. That's something to say.
He's also really, really funny and I promise you'll never get a dull moment with this one. That's kind of nice especially during those awkward first date moments. :)
He loves playing sports, watching sports, and is a great golfer. {and although an avid UK fan, he also loves UNC basketball}
Lastly, he's actually a very thoughtful and sweet guy. {He might kill me for that one} Adam was SO AWESOME during all our wedding festivities, during all the years before B and I met up, and still is now. He continues to hang out with us even though we're a 'married' couple, he's always asking B and I to do things, and he's always there for either one of us.
So why is this great guy single? In my book, his heart hasn't been ready yet, and God hasn't introduced him to a girl that's perfect for him yet. Could it be you?? :)

Feel free to leave a comment, your blog address, your email, or email me! :)

Favorite Verse
Over on Kelly's Blog, her Show Us Your Life segment is to share your favorite verse from the Bible.
I loved reading other people's blogs and what made a certain verse so meaningful to them.
If you remember THIS post a few weeks back, I shared one of my favorite verses and one I prayed continually for many years, many times a day.
Delight yourself in the LORD;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it. Psalm 37:3-5
This verse helped me through the want of finding a mate for my life. Just like the linked post above, I would have gladly waited longer if I knew what God had in store for me!
My favorite Book of the Bible is James. There are so many verses in that book that have meant so much in my life, and while I'd like to list them all here, you can check the book out later. :) But here's one I like to keep close,
Whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. James 1:2-3
What is yours???

China Patterns
Over on Kelly's Blog, her Show Us Your Life segment is on China Patterns. I loved looking through other people's China patterns. I even saw one girl registered for the Kate Spade Polka Dot dishes. Those were my favorite, but a little too pricey for me.
I wanted to go with a China set that was affordable and would go on sale often so other people would want to purchase it for our wedding! Doesn't that sound bad? Oh well, everyone does it. I was hesitant to register for China, since a lot of my friends who recently got married did not, and we currently do not even have a dining room in our home. However; I figured this isn't something I would want to necessarily purchase for myself, so I decided to pick some out.
I went with the Mikasa Parchment China and found Mikasa Love Story wine and beverage glasses that matched perfectly with the design. I was lucky enough to get a lot of my China! Now I love the look of the China cabinet in our breakfast area. And although we don't have a big nice dining room or dining room table to serve it on, maybe one day we will!

I also have Christmas China passed down from my Nanny, but those are currently being stored in the garage and I'm too lazy to get those out right now. Maybe closer to Christmas.
